Coady Recreation & Fitness Centre Grand Opening
Coady Recreation & Fitness Centre Grand Opening – A Community Celebration
On July 31, 2025, the community gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Coady Rec & Fitness Centre, a facility dedicated to Lloyd’s lifelong passion for fitness, service, and bringing people together.
A large crowd filled the space with energy and excitement, but the highlight of the day was seeing Lloyd himself, at 100 years young, dancing with guests and sharing in the joy of the moment. His presence reminded everyone of the importance of staying active and connected, no matter your age.
The event also featured a generous donation from the Kathleen and Lloyd Coady Foundation, ensuring that programs and activities at the centre will continue to grow and serve the community for years to come.
This new centre stands as a lasting tribute to Lloyd’s legacy, a place where people of all ages and abilities can come together, stay active, and build community.

Birthday Sharing
Your birthday is all about sharing joy, so why not share with others who need it? For your next birthday, instead of receiving traditional gifts, consider asking your family and friends to assist you in supporting STEPs with a gift to the STEPs on Arthur Foundation.
Your efforts will make your birthday even more memorable and meaningful, while encouraging others to do the same and creating a ripple effect of kindness. Knowing you’ve made a difference will give you the best birthday gift of all - gratitude and fulfillment!
So, the next time your birthday rolls around, consider making it a day of giving. The smiles you’ll create and the change you’ll inspire will make your celebration unforgettable.
