About Us
STEPs on Arthur Foundation was created to generate and receive funds to assist STEPs on Arthur in carrying out its objectives to purchase land and/or premises and equipment for its expanding operations.
For over 35 years, STEPs on Arthur (formerly Colchester Community Workshops) has operated as a not-for-profit organization and social enterprise providing excellent professional development, educational, social and training programs for clients with intellectual disabilities. STEPs on Arthur believes every person has the right to full engagement in their community and supports people in their own personal plan of participation.
STEPs on Arthur Foundation supports their efforts by generating and receiving funds to assist STEPs on Arthur in carrying out its objectives to purchase land and/or premises and equipment for its expanding operations.
STEPs on Arthur Foundation is vital to ensuring the growth and expansion of STEPs on Arthur.
Our Beginning
STEPs on Arthur Foundation (previously Colchester Community Workshops Foundation) was created in May 2000.
Our first Board of Directors consisted of 16 members, including Eleanor Norrie (president), Bob MacKinnon (vice-president), John Rafferty (secretary), Reg Sabean (treasurer), Allan Bruce, Kay Ivany, Gordon Jeffery, Andrea MacAdam, Beth McKay, Jud Pearson, Sheila Rafferty, Scott Schneider, Karen Yuill, Reverend David MacNaughton, Ruth Pulsifer and Ann Wight.
